I am incredibly blessed and honoured to be the inaugural Principal of McAuley Community School, a Catholic school in the Mercy tradition.
As an educator and a parent, I understand the importance of the decision when choosing a school for your child. We all want our children to be happy, capable, resilient and respected citizens of the world and to have the confidence and enthusiasm to be the best they can be.
I truly believe that every person is made in the image of God. No matter what age, we are unique and capable individuals with great potential. We are competent, creative, relational makers of meaning and we are responsible caretakers and agents in God’s world. McAuley Community School will be a place where there will be opportunities for all to thrive. It will be a place to live, to learn and to lead. We will all be learners and we will all be leaders, and together we will innovate, create, think critically, collaborate, problem solve and question, with the desire of making a difference in the world in which we live.
At McAuley Community School we will work together to unlock each person’s potential, allowing all of us to be the best we can be. With my mission to lead a community to be thriving people, capable learners, leaders of the world God desires, I am excited to be sharing this journey with you as the rich possibilities of learning unfolds before us at McAuley Community School, a place to thrive.
I share with you one of my favourite quotes from Pope Francis which is at the heart of my leadership.
